DMMM Workshop/Orientation Programmee for the course MCA205 Sem -II : DMMM Workshop/Orientation Program for the course MCA205 Sem–II was organized on 9th February 2017. Prof. AartiKarande and Prof. SakinaShaikh were resource persons. Workshop was attended by 9 faculty members from different institutes. Workshop covered Module Wise Weightage and Marks Distribution, increased understanding of Mathematical Models, Charactersticsof Business Problems and MADM & MCDM.
Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis & thesis writing : Faculty Development Program on “Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis & thesis writing” was organized on 6th and 7th January 2017. Dr. Sachin Kamble, Associate Professor, National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai was resource person. Total 38 faculty members from different institutes participated. Dr. Sachin Kamble guided researcher’s right from the selection of research topic to thesis writing along with qualitative and quantitative data analysis by giving hands on experience on SPSS.
Workshop on “MS-Excel” : Workshop on “MS-Excel” was organized on 8th and 9th December 2016. Prof. SandeepPonde (Asst. Prof.) was resource person.Total 7 Non-Teaching Staff members participated in the workshop. Participants learnt to customize the Excel workspace, how to apply advanced formulas, apply MS-Excel models for decision making.
Data Mining and Business Intelligence: Workshop on “Data Mining and Business Intelligence” was organized on 21st February 2018 by NCRD SIMS under guidance of University of Mumbai. Mr. Vikee Chinchahre, Industry Expert from JP Morgan was trainer for the workshop and 25 Faculty members from different institutes participated. Guidance was given to all participants for tools like Pentaho, Tableau and OWB.

Faculty Development Program on “Research Methodology" : Faculty Development Program on “Research Methodology" was organized on 8th January to 13th January 2018. Dr. Arjita Jain was resource person and 21 Faculty Members attended the FDP. This FDP program as focused on the important aspects related to literature survey for framing research objectives, collection of data, analysing the data, and finally framing it into a research paper. This FDP oriented participants towards polishing research skills that are needed at every stage of their research.

Intellectual Property Rights Workshop :The main aim of workshop was to impart greater awareness about the issue of Intellectual Property Right (IPR), which has gained a special importance for all the domains of socio-economic development. NCRD’S Sterling Institute of Management Studies organized ‘Workshop on IPR’ on 30th April 2019. Advocate Maya Gopal gave a Visual Presentation about the basic understanding of IPR and its types like patent, copyright and trademark.
One Day Workshop on "IoT" - NCRD’s Sterling Institute of Management Studies, Nerul, Navi Mumbai organized one Day workshop on "IoT" on 27th August, 2018. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Chittaranjan Mahajan Dolphine lab,Pune, MMS and MCA faculty members of Sterling Institute and MCA students of Second and Third year. Dr. Prashant Gundawar, Director proposed the welcome address. Mr. ChittaranjanMahajan initiated the workshop with a brief introduction of IoT. IoT is one of the world's most emerging and fastest growing technologies, and have many possibilities as well as opportunities. He covered all basic Arduino & IOT concept. IOT is one of the world's most emerging and fastest growing technology, and have many opportunities. He described any technology available right now can be merged with IOT.
ASIA AFRICA ICT and Development Summit 2018 :“ASIA AFRICA ICT and Development Summit 2018” was organized on 1st and 2nd December 2018. Dr. PrashantGundawar (Director SIMS) and Mr. Manish Phadake were coordinators. Various Faculty Members, Industry Representatives and Consulates of African Country participated in the Summit. Objectives of the Summit was to understand several ways to embrace the use the use of emerging digital technologies, to improve services, empower individuals, community and drive social change through ICT, to create a platform for ICT to discuss trend and challenges faced by industry globally. Total 24 faculty members from SIMS participated.

Internet-of-Things is used both as a technical and marketing term. As a marketing term, it is broadly applied to different kinds of systems. As a technical term, it can be defined as large-scale networked embedded systems that provides sensing, actuating, processing, and informing. He said that IoT systems are built on heterogeneous architectures: multiple types of processors, networks, I/O devices, and software stacks. With the help of projects he gave hands on session.
